Signature Method

Handmade K-Tip — Signature Couture Method

At INNA KIV, we work exclusively with handmade K-Tip keratin bonds — each bond is individually crafted by hand, never machine-made. This level of precision and personalization ensures the most natural, invisible, and truly luxury result.

Every bond is tailored specifically to the client, allowing us to create the perfect size, shape, and weight for your natural hair's density and structure. The result is weightless, delicate attachment, completely undetectable bonds, and long-term protection of your natural hair.

Hand craftsmanship reflects a couture approach — where every detail is intentional and the final result appears flawless, natural, and refined.

K-Tip extensions for all hair types
Is It Right For You?

Who are K-Tip
Extensions For?

K-Tip extensions work beautifully on most hair types and textures. Whether you have fine, medium, or thick hair — straight, wavy, or curly — we can customize the installation to blend seamlessly with your natural hair.

Minimum requirements: Your natural hair should be at least 5-6 inches long to ensure proper bond placement and natural blending. If you have very short hair, we can discuss a growth plan or alternative methods during your consultation.

Perfect for fine or thin hair: Many clients worry that extensions will damage their delicate hair. K-Tips are actually one of the safest options for fine hair because each bond is tiny and lightweight. We strategically place extensions to add volume without creating stress on your natural strands.

Color-treated hair welcome: Whether you have highlights, balayage, or all-over color, we custom-blend multiple shades of premium hair to match your unique color perfectly. We can also color-match extensions to freshly colored hair.

The Process

How K-Tip Installation Works

Step 01

Private Consultation $40

We assess your hair type, discuss your dream look, and create a personalized plan. Together we'll determine strand count (100-300), select the perfect length, and custom-match colors using our extensive shade library.

30-45 minutes
Step 02

Color Matching & Prep

We hand-select premium human hair from multiple shade ranges, blending 2-4 colors to perfectly match your unique hair. Your natural hair is washed and prepped for optimal bond adhesion.

30 minutes
Step 03

Strand-by-Strand Installation

Each K-Tip strand is individually bonded using our precision heat tool. We work methodically, placing 100-300 extensions approximately 1cm from your scalp. This meticulous process is what creates undetectable, natural-looking results.

3-4 hours
Step 04

Cut, Blend & Style

This is where the magic happens. We custom cut and blend your extensions with your natural hair, shaping everything to complement your face and create seamless movement. You'll leave looking like you were born with this hair.

45-60 minutes
Step 05

Aftercare Education

Before you leave, we teach you everything about caring for your new hair — recommended products, brushing techniques, sleeping tips, and styling do's and don'ts. You'll feel confident maintaining your extensions at home.

Maintenance

Caring for Your K-Tip Extensions

With the right routine, caring for K-Tip extensions is simple and only adds a few minutes to your daily hair care.

Washing

Use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Wash 2-3 times per week, gently massaging scalp without scrubbing bonds. Condition mid-lengths to ends only.

2-3x per week

Brushing

Use a loop brush or soft bristle brush. Start from ends, work up, holding hair above bonds to prevent pulling. Gentle strokes are key.

2-3x daily

Sleeping

Always braid your hair or put it in a loose ponytail before bed. This prevents tangling overnight. A silk pillowcase also helps reduce friction.

Braid every night

Heat Styling

Yes, you can use hot tools! Just avoid direct heat on the bonds. Use a heat protectant spray and keep temperatures reasonable.

Max 400°F / 200°C

Pro Tip

Schedule your maintenance appointments every 2-3 months. During these visits, we'll move up your bonds, replace any that need refreshing, and ensure your extensions continue to look flawless.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do K-Tip extensions last?

K-Tip extensions typically last 4-6 months with proper care. We recommend maintenance appointments every 2-3 months to move up bonds that have grown out. The hair itself can be reused for 1-2 additional applications if well-maintained.

Is the installation process painful?

Not at all. The installation process is completely painless. You may feel slight warmth from the fusion tool, but it never touches your scalp. Most clients find the process relaxing — many even fall asleep during their appointment!

Can I color my K-Tip extensions?

Yes, you can color your extensions, but we recommend having it done professionally. Extensions can be darkened easily, but lightening is more limited. It's best to discuss your color goals during consultation so we can select hair that's already close to your desired shade.

How often do I need maintenance?

We recommend maintenance every 2-3 months. As your natural hair grows, the bonds move further from your scalp. During maintenance, we remove the extensions, replace worn bonds, and reinstall them closer to the root for a fresh, seamless look.

K-Tip vs Tape-In vs Weft — which is best?

K-Tip extensions offer the most natural, undetectable result because each strand is individually bonded. Tape-ins are faster to install but more visible and require more frequent maintenance. Wefts add maximum volume quickly but can feel heavier. For fine or thin hair, K-Tips are usually the best choice.

Will K-Tip extensions damage my natural hair?

When installed and removed by a trained professional, K-Tip extensions are one of the gentlest methods available. The keratin bond is similar to the protein in your natural hair. We use precise temperature control and never apply tension that could stress your hair.

What's the minimum hair length needed?

We recommend at least 5-6 inches of natural hair length for optimal blending and bond placement. If your hair is shorter, we can discuss alternative options or a growth plan during your consultation.

Can I swim and exercise with K-Tip extensions?

Absolutely! You can swim, workout, and live your normal life. We recommend wearing hair in a braid during intense exercise, and rinsing with fresh water after swimming in chlorine or salt water. With proper care, your extensions will stay beautiful through all your activities.
